Region Jazz Clinic & Concert

Hereis the full information for you regarding next week's All-Region Jazz clinicsand concert. Please be sure to share this with your students promptly!

Region31 Jazz Band Rosters: HERE

1. Here are the links to the music for each band:

2. The clinicians will be Director of Jazz Bands at Plano West Senior High School, Preston Pierce the top group and Ponder Fine Arts and Head Director, Jesse Woolery for the second band.
3. Jazz Ensemble 1 will rehearse in the concert hall on Day 1 and Jazz Ensemble 2 will be in the Jazz Room. The two bands will switch on Day 2.
4. On the first day (Tuesday 11/17), non-Carroll ISD students coming onto campus will need to check in at our main office and get a badge, as school will still be in session here. This will not be necessary on Wednesday because we start rehearsing at 4:00. The main office location and the rehearsal areas are notated on the attached building map.
5. Dinner needs to be coordinated by you and your students. I will be here on campus during dinner on both days, so students are welcome to stay on campus and bring something with them for the dinner break, or to leave campus and return. Please be sure that you are aware of your students' plans if they plan to leave campus.
6. Double check that your students have taped their music, and that they are bringing all necessary materials. This includes pencils, patch cords, amps, extra patch cords, extension cords, drum kits, and more extra patch cords.

Rehearsal Locations & Times:

Day 1(Tuesday, 11/17):

O *Day1 rehearsal spaces: Jazz 1 on stage with Mr. Pierce and Jazz 2 in the Jazz Roomwith Mr. Woolery.

o3:00- 5:30 pm: Rehearsal

o5:30 - 7:00 pm: Dinner (on your own)

o7:00 - 9:00 pm: Rehearsal

Day 2(Wednesday, 11/18):The twoensembles will switch rehearsal spaces.

o*Day 2 rehearsal spaces: Jazz 1 in Jazz Room with Mr. Pierce and Jazz 2on stage with Mr. Woolery.

o4:00 - 5:30 pm: Rehearsal

o5:30 - 6:30 pm: Dinner (on your own)

o7:00 pm: Concert
